The Origin of Our Work

Our journey began in 2018 when our CEO, Shelley Spivey, a Middle Georgia educator and Christian counselor with a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy, spotted a critical lack of support for students as they moved from high school into college and their early careers. Together with her two sons, Schuyler and Cameron Spivey, they created Waves Autism Center, LLC.For eight years, this gap has only widened, highlighting an urgent need for sustainable funding to provide these young people with genuine hope. Through our dedicated grassroots initiative, we strive to support learners through specialized workshops and hands-on vocational experiences. By offering a supportive environment, we give those who need extra time a place to develop new skills, plan their professional pathways, and foster the inner confidence required to succeed in their future endeavors.
